FRONTeras is a Latina-led independent magazine based in Texas, but our stories have no borders. We cover border politics, cultural identity, power structures, and the decisions that shape communities across Texas, the frontera, and beyond. We report on the issues that determine how people live, work, and build futures in places the national media reduces to talking points. Our journalism centers the people mainstream media ignores: organizers, working families, small business owners, artists, educators. We report on power, policy, and the decisions that change lives. We write in the language of our reality. Sometimes English, sometimes Spanish, often both. We publish stories that matter to border communities and anyone navigating life on the other side of the world. Our stories reflect the complexity of bicultural existence here and beyond. FRONTeras exists to tell stories without borders, by people who understand them.
